Jonathan R. Grantham - Director or Music
 

Joanathan Grantham   Jonathan Grantham, director of bands at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California, oversees an instrumental program of 210 students involved in three concert bands, two jazz ensembles, the marching band, winter percussion and winterguard.

In his five years at Amador Valley the band program has grown to double in size and has earned consistent superior ratings and high honors at every event entered.

Mr. Grantham is active as a board member for CMEA Bay Section, serves as president-elect of the Western Band Association and is active in the California Colorguard Circuit.  He has worked as an adjudicator, is on staff with the University of the Pacific Summer Music program, and serves as principal trombone in the Chabot Wind Symphony.

<>Jonathan received his bachelor's degree in music education/trombone performance from Central Michigan University, graduating magna cum laude, and has affiliations with several professional organizations. 

He was recently accepted into Who's Who Among America's Teachers, earned a citation of excellence from the National Band Association and received the Prudential Realty of California's Outstanding Educator's Award.
