Another PLEA for Volunteers: Uniform Fittings Kimberly Ansell measuring tape gif I have had a few volunteers email their availability to help fit students for their Marching Band uniforms on Thursday, August 16th and Saturday August 18th.
However, in order to successfully fit 210 students in less than 2 days - a lot more volunteers are needed!
I am looking for a team of about 10-12 volunteers to work from 1 pm to 6 pm on Thursday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday. The process is easy - just fit each student with a jacket, a pair of bib overalls, the proper size shoe, fit them with a shako, collect a pair of gloves (if necessary), gauntlets, and fill-in the contract. Voila!
Freshmen parents - this is a good opportunity to meet all the students and get your feet wet as volunteers.
Please contact Kimberly Ansell, Uniform Coordinator 2007-2008 at kimberlyansell@comcast.net or 925-484-2847 (home) or 925-413-8810 (cel) if you are available to help.
Scottish Highland Games Volunteer Opportunities Richard Grotegut
If you are interested in working a four hour shift (8-12, 12-4) at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds on Saturday or Sunday, September 1st/2nd selling programs, you can make money for your student account. You will be provided with admission to the event and a meal coupon, as well as bottled water. Please email Richard Grotegut at glfam@comcast.net if you are interested. This is a great opportunity for the band kids to work for themselves. The games are big fun too. There is some great music: Tempest, the Wicked Tinkers, and Stand Easy to name a few. Any family member can work.
Questions: 462-3294.
