Amador Bands Shine at CMEA Festival!

This past Friday and Saturday the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony and
Symphonic Band turned in stellar performances and each group earned
the highest rating possible at the festival - Unanimous Superior.

This means that three judges assessed the concert performances of each
band and a sight-reading judge assessed a first time read through of a
piece by each group and all gave the bands a Superior for the combined
high rating of Unanimous Superior.

This was especially rewarding from this tough judging panel as the three Amador bands were the ONLY groups out of the 28 in attendance to earn these ratings.

The band students were professional, organized and mature in their presentations and deportment. One judge was quoted as saying that the Amador band program was "truly one of the finest in the bay area." and that the wind ensemble performance was on par with many collegiate and professional groups.

There is much to be proud of as we celebrate the talents of our musicians.
