Director’s Report – Jon Grantham

CMEA FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND!

Please come and support your band student at the CMEA band festival in Hayward on the campus of CSU East Bay. The symphonic band performs at 4:15 pm, the wind ensemble at 7:35 pm and the wind symphony at 9:00 pm. The event is absolutely free and open to any and all who would like to attend. All performances take place in the university theater. Directions are on-line under the concert band link.

Thank you to Victoria Schmidt, Marilyn Palowitch, MaryJo Thiel and Sainaz Dana for volunteering their time towards this event.
If you've had a last minute change in plans and are available at any time on Saturday to help supervise concessions please contact Mr. Grantham at jgrantham@pleasanton.k12.ca.us. All of the hardest work is done (thanks MaryJo!) but hands and eyes are needed the day of. Thanks for your consideration.

PUSD BAND FESTIVAL MAY 10!

On May 10 the 5th grade Superband, the wind ensembles from Harvest Park, Pleasanton and Hart Middle Schools as well as the wind ensembles from Foothill and Amador will be performing at 7:00 p.m. in the Harvest Park gym. All are invited. There is no cost.

This is a special event that has not taken place for many years and we are very excited to share in all of the talent that exists in Pleasanton.

Parent Performance Rescheduled for May 4th!

The parent performance has been set for Thursday May 4 at 8:00 p.m. in the large gym-no admission.

Parent Volunteers needed for CMEA Concessions, April 28 & 29. Friday and Saturday – Mary Jo Thiel

As the host of this year's CMEA festival at Cal State East Bay, we are responsible for running the concessions stand. It will run both Friday
(~3:30 - 9:30/10 PM) and Saturday (~8:30 AM - 4:30 PM). All band students will be working 2 hour shifts on one of these days, so why not
come out and support your kids, and have a chance to see them perform! * Parent volunteers are direly needed* at these times: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:30/10 PM on Friday, April 28. 8:00 AM - 11 AM; 11 AM - 2 PM and 2 - 5 PM on Saturday, April 29.
