*** Important London Updates:

More chaperones needed

Our student numbers are climbing and we need more chaperones in order to keep the student to chaperone ratio at 6 to 1. AFM is offering a chaperone discount of $200 at this time. Please contact any of the committee members if you are interested.

For those chaperones interested in a private room, there is a $450 additional fee. Please contact the committee if you are interested in this exercising this option. The Youth Music Organization needs this information as soon as possible in order to book the appropriate size hotel.

There have been questions about airfare costs if the student is traveling separately and joining the band upon arrival in London. If you are interested in this land only option, you must commit by March 1. The land only option is $1700 based on an exchange rate of $1.95USD per pound.

Our registration deadline is Thursday, February 28. The deadline for incoming freshman is March 15th. Please remember that any payments made up to May 1 are refundable with the exception of $100.
The contract has been signed and we are in the process of making our first payment to the Youth Music Organization. The next payment of $600 will be April 1.

The London Committee will be at the AFM meeting on March 6th to answer any questions or address concerns parents may have. Please mark your calendar and plan on attending.

We also like to remind you to apply or renew your children's passports. This is a great time of year to do this, before the summer rush. If your child's passport is current and will not expire within six months of our arrival date, please provide us with a copy when submitting your next payment. These copies can also be turned in at the AFM meeting on March 6th.

Uniform Thank Yous!
Kimberly Ansell

I would like to send a HUGE Thank You to those amazing ladies who gave up 5 hours on Saturday to check in marching band uniforms: Mildred Nylander, Skyler Cohen and Karalene Rasmussen. A special thank you goes out to Matthew Nylander who did all the heavy work involved (and there is plenty) and pulled senior shakos off the carts to get ready for next season. It is great to work side-by-side with the students.

There are still missing uniforms. Please check with your child to make sure their uniform has been WASHED according to the instructions, hem removed and returned to the band room.

Thanks again for making this a great year! Go Dons!
