WINTER AWARDS NIGHT THIS FRIDAY! Sponsored by the student elected Band Council, this formal awards presentation kicks off at 7:00 p.m. in the AVHS multi-purpose room. Family and friends are invited, free of charge. Come celebrate the conclusion of our outstanding marching season!

HOLIDAY PARADE INFORMATION FOR SATURDAY:
Report time is 4:00 p.m. in full uniform. Each student is expected to provide a "Santa hat" for the parade in place of the shako and birdie. Band members are also allowed to decorate their instruments for the parade. Step off for the parade is 5:30 as the band joins the community of Pleasanton in kicking off the holiday season. Students will be done and back at the high school by 8:00
p.m. Please remember that Main Street/Santa Rita Rd. will be closed for the parade. Plan on using the Del Valle lot for drop off and parking.

THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR VOLUNTEERING TO USHER FOR OUR UPCOMING CONCERT! Thanks to Janice Flanzbaum, Jereen Gilbert, Judi and John Koenig and Laura Keller-Gum. There is room for 2-3 more ushers to help at the
December 11th concert at the new Bankhead Theater in Livermore. You will need to drive your students for the performance and get a free seat to watch the concert. E-mail Mr. Grantham if you are interested at jgrantham@pleasanton.k12.ca.us

MARCHING BAND GRATITUDE: It is hard to believe yet another season is behind us. Seems like yesterday we were getting together at band camp - and on the heels of our highest finish to date at both BOA and WBA events, it is a time to celebrate and be proud of our Marching Dons. Words can not fully express my thanks to the hundreds of people who came on either/or both weekends to L.A. An operation of our size does not move without many many people behind the scenes and your smiles, hands and help on both trips were so appreciated. There are a few individuals I would like to recognize for their invaluable help in supporting and leading our awesome parent crew (and keeping me with a full head of hair): Head Road Warrior Steve Ethier, Head R.A.'s Trish Moosbrugger and Laurel Stjern,
Grubmaster Sainaz Dana and Lead Hotel Chaperones Paul and Roz Perazzo. In addition, the list of parents and family that helped on both trips would read a mile long and I was left wondering yet again who turned the lights out in Pleasanton. We have a special thing going here and it is something I take great pride and care to continue with your help and support.

With humble thanks,
Mr. Grantham

*** Winter Percussion 2007-08
Casey Brohard

Parents: The Winter Percussion season is approaching soon. The season will be kicking off December 7 - 9 (Friday - Sunday) with a camp weekend at the D'HART Ranch Estate @ Lake San Antonio. The ranch is located 170 miles south, approximately 20 miles from Paso Robles, CA. http://www.vrbo.com/91594.
The kids, staff and chaperones will be leaving from school at 3:30 pm on Friday, December 7th and returning on Sunday December 9th at approximately 5:00 pm. This will be our second year of camp as last year proved very valuable in providing the kids w/ a strong initial base of practice and connecting them as a team. Further details will follow soon about our help needs for this event and how we can all support our kids and coaches in what will be a great season. The performance schedule will be posted soon along w/ the fee for the season.

Request: If you were unable to attend the parent meeting held last week; please send Pamela Ellingsen, pamelaellingsen@windermere.com your contact information. Please include your names, email, cell and child's name in the program.

Please contact Roland Ellingsen - Parent Liaison, with any questions @ (925) 895-1041 or email @ roland.ellingsen@comcast.net

Pam Sangiacomo

Thank you to all our great band families for another terrific season!
We certainly couldn't do it without everyone's help. We especially want to thank those adults that helped make each trip a success from uniform fittings to road warriors to RA's and everyone in between. We look forward to next year's marching band season!

*** Thanks!
Sainaz Dana

We've had a great season this year. The band did wonderful in LA, and I hope everyone had a blast. I just wanted to give yet another shoutout to all those wonderful people who dedicated their time and energy to helping me help the band. A big hug goes to my assistant Grubmaster, Janice Maurer, who was always there when I needed her. Another special thank you goes to Esther Ramsell, who was able to secure an eating location, and willingly made mulitple runs to Costco! :) To Roz and Paul Perazzo, many many thanks to being there when I needed someone to deliver goodie bags or pack ice or haul stuff around...;)I would also like to thank all of those people who gave up space in their cars to drive down hoards of food and utensils down with us to LA. I just can't thank all of those people who helped me enough for your dedication and support. We couldn't have done it without you!
