How much must students pay to participate?

Student expenses are determined each semester for each performing group, after a budget is prepared covering the activities, events, and other expenses anticipated for the semester. Any group fundraising revenue anticipated is used to offset expenses before individual student expenses are set.

The amount requested from participants for the 2004-05 fall semester is $550, due at the time of band registration.

The fees paid for the fall marching season include uniform and equipment expenses, instructor expenses, cost of field show and music, travel to competitions and Championships.

Contributions may be paid by cash or by deduction from the student account (if there is money available in the student account when the funds are due.)

Spring fees vary depending on program participation and are commiserate with the scope of the program. The participation fee for Winter/Spring 2005 has not been determined yet. The fees for 2004 were as follows: concert bands: $75.00, winter guard A: $450.00, winter guard B: $350. Jazz band:$355.00 all inclusive.

Group and individual fundraising opportunities are offered throughout the year. E-Scrip is one of our easy fund raisers. If you do not participate in e-SCRIP yet you can enroll now. (See eScrip
for information about the program.

Funding is available from Amador Friends of Music to cover expenses for any student who cannot afford to pay the amounts requested. No student will be prevented from participating in any performing group or activity due to inability to pay for participation expenses.
