Amador Band Alumni (Parents and Students alike!),
This is our first installment for the 2007-2008 school year of our AFM
Alumni Newsletter. The Alumni Newsletter will come to you 3-4
times a year with information about the band schedule and
activities. Come and visit us at a football game, concert, or
competition. We'd love to see you! Perhaps you would like to join
in! Grab some old friends and attend the bowl-a-thon or Magic of
Music Gala. Or if you would like to be more musically involved,
you can dust off that instrument and perform with the Wind Ensemble
during the Spring Concert - It was a hit last year!
If this is your first time receiving the
Alumni Newletter, please read the article at the bottom of the
page. It is a condensed version of our initial newsletter and
will give you directions on how to remove your name from our list or to
add the names of friends and family who might like to receive this
newsletter as well. Hope to see you all soon!

Friends of Music has learned that many former band members and
band families would like to be kept apprised of what is currently going
on with the band. AFM has come up with two ways to keep alumni
families informed.
First, We have added an alumni link to the band website. If as an
alumnus or former band parent, you have any input on what you would
like to see included here, please respond to this email with your
suggestions. We are looking for your input.
Second, we would like to send out occasional emails (like this one
here) to keep you updated on what is going on with the band and
colorguard. We found that former band students attending college
in Southern California showed up when the band performed in LA last
year. Some local former band parents and alumni also enjoyed the
Campana Jazz Festival here in town.
Our plan is to send 3-4 emails per year to families on this list who
would like to be "kept in the loop." If you would like to be
included, hurrah, you are already on our list! If not, there is
a link at the bottom of this email to remove yourself from our email
list. Also, if you know any other former band families that you
think might be interested, please forward this email to them using the
"Forward Email" link at the bottom. Similarly, if you are a
parent and you think your student might be interested (or visa versa)
please forward this on to them as well.
In upcoming newsletters we will includea
special invitation from Mr. Grantham for alumni to join the Wind
Ensemble at their Spring Concert and an invitation to our Magic of
Music Gala at the Hilton in April.
We hope to see you soon at a concert, football game or our Magic of
Music Gala!
