John M. Meehan joined the staff of the Amador Valley High School Marching Dons in 2005 as music composer, arranger and instructor.

Previous to his involvement with Amador Valley, John worked with the James Logan High School marching band from 1996-2002. John is the owner of JKS Music which provides arrangements and compositions for marching band, winter percussion and wind ensembles all over the world. Outside of John's active involvement with high school marching band, John is the Brass Caption Head for the Concord Blue Devils Drum Bugle Corps. John joined the brass staff of the Blue Devils in 1994 and took over the position of Brass Caption Head in 2006. John is proudly endorsed by Dynasty Musical Instruments and Sibelius Music Notation Software and lives in Martinez, California with his loving wife Jackie and their three beautiful daughters; Ashley, Katelyn and Madison.
