Joe Haworth is the Visual Caption Head for the A.V. Marching Band during the fall, and he also works with Amador Valley students once a week as a low brass clinician. In addition, Joe also works with the A.V. Winter Percussion Ensemble as the Visual Instructor. While away from Amador, Joe teaches brass and percussion classes to 4th - 7th grade students at the Livermore Valley Charter School in Livermore, CA.

Mr. Haworth has been involved with the marching band and drum corps activity for more than 16 years (as a performer, instructor, adjudicator and clinician), and will be continuing his 5^th year of service to the Blue Devils organization from Concord, CA, in 2007.  Joe was proud to assume the Brass Caption Head position with the Blue Devils “B” Corps in 2006, and will be returning in the same capacity next year.

Joe has also recently begun composing and arranging music, and has arranged works for various marching bands and drum & bugle corps’, as well as several pieces for indoor percussion ensemble.  Joe is also an original cast member of the Broadway show “Blast” (where he performed on trombone, euphonium, and percussion); he performed the show in London, Tokyo, New York (on Broadway), and on tour across the United States.
